I discovered that my hosts actually live in a much smaller town called Pangkep, about an hour’s drive north and situated deeper in the mountains. My ride for the next two weeks was a 125cc Honda motorcycle borrowed from the oldest of the four sisters. And what’s more, it was pink. Way to go.
