A kaleidoscope of flavours, scents and atmospheres, this rising phenomena mirrors the city’s essence perfectly: Montréal is a dreamy, bold mix of multicultural, cross-global influences, which seep and affect every aspect of daily life. This new wave, or “Third Wave” is a little different, however. Like its predecessors, it focuses on the quality of the beans, but in addition there is also an emphasis now on who cultivated it and where, as well as the connection between farmers, roasters, and café owners, all of which are intricately woven in this expanding coffee culture web.
