Feature | Branislav Bieleny | Making Waves in Morocco I n a country where surfing has recently become at least as popular as football, we found the most superb spots for surfing right by the village of Taghazout, a small fishing village that relies primarily on fishing, tourism and the production of argan oil from the argan plant as the main sources of income. Perfect accommodation was afforded to us in the form of a surf house built right on the edge of the cliff just 50 meters from the Atlantic Ocean. Owned and run by an older Dutchman, we received both quality catering as well as a lack of sleep in equal portions. Surfers in Morocco are loud and every day is a never ending party that lasts all night. However, since we were also in a Muslim country, The Travellist | Issue 3 | July 2015 p13
