In November The TRADE made the short flight from London over to
Amsterdam for the Fixed Income Leaders Summit 2018, a two-day conference
replete with the cream of European fixed income market participants.
Across the event the key topics of interest included the important role of data in
bond trading - particularly relating to the continued lack of a consolidated tape
in the fixed income markets the rise of automated trading on the buy-side and
how evolving technology tools mean asset managers must adapt to survive,
and the omnipresent shadow of Brexit looming over it all, with future regulatory
change more than likely to be influenced by politics rather than economics.
The TRADE presents the best of its coverage from the
event, by John Brazier & Hayley McDowell.
