Foundation welcomes incoming chairman, Norm Bagwell, new class of leaders to the board
Baylor Health Care System Foundation is pleased to announce that 21 distinguished business, community and philanthropic leaders have joined the Foundation board as new members. Norm Bagwell is the incoming board chairman.
Board members serve as ambassadors of Baylor Scott & White Health’ s mission to serve all people through exemplary health care, education, research and community service. In addition, board member support helps the Foundation achieve annual fundraising success for initiatives across North Texas. Since its inception in 1978, the Foundation has raised more than $ 600 million for Baylor Scott & White Health – North Texas.
“ Year after year, the dedicated support, leadership and involvement from our extraordinary board enables Baylor Scott & White to improve care for our patients, strengthen communities and advance research and education across North Texas,” said Rowland K. Robinson, Foundation president.“ I am most grateful for the service of these good friends and excited to see the passion and focus Norm will bring to the board as chairman.”
A Louisiana native, Norm originally came to Dallas as a student, earning bachelor of arts and bachelor of business degrees from Southern Methodist University. He worked for Bank One and its successor, JPMorgan Chase & Co., for 23 years, and served as president of Bank One Dallas and later Chase Dallas from 1997 until 2007. He currently serves as chief executive officer for Bank of Texas and executive vice president of BOK Financial, where, in addition to Texas, he runs the regional banking franchise across eight southwestern states.
