PARLIAMENTARIAN
Meet our 2016-17 Parliamentarian, Eric White, from The Classical Academy
The Torch: What first sparked your interest in JCL?
EW: What first sparked my interest in JCL was my teacher's enthusiasm for the Latin language. When I heard about this great opportunity to meet others who shared my love of Roman culture and language, I could hardly wait to start. I enjoyed the experience so much that I was determined to help any way I could.
The Torch: What are your goals this year for the COJCL?
EW: My goals for this year in COJCL is to help others find the joy in the Classics through entertaining and informative events.
The Torch: What are you most excited for this upcoimg year (JCL-wise)?
EW: I am most excited this year for the convention in spring where schools all across Colorado and beyond come together to compete in a battle of JCL spirit.
The Torch: Favorite Latin quote/motto?
EW: Ad astra per aspera
(To the stars through adversities).
The Torch: Any quirky or interesting facts about yourself, hobbies, relations, etc.?
