The foods that are good to eat during puberty are: Fruits, Grain foods like bread, cereals, rice, pasta. Noodles, polenta, couscous, oats, quinoa and barley. Lean meats, fish, eggs, tofu, nuts and seeds. Also, fat reduced products like milk, yogurt and cheese. All these foods are great to eat, to give you a boost in growth.

The main foods and drinks that adolescents shouldn’t have during puberty, are salty foods, caffeine, sugar-sweetened drinks. Anything with too much sugar in it, isn’t good for them to have. The reason why, is because the sugar makes your skin go all oily, eventually causing pimples on your body. Another thing that is not good to eat, is anything processed. Food that is no longer at its original state, and missing all the valuable nutrients and fibre, is useless to eat.

When an adolescent is going through puberty, they will start to feel the need to eat a lot more food. But the food will consist of junk food, and no fruit and vegetables. But because of all this consuming leads to being overweight, unless any actions are done to stop it. So to stop being fat, is to get outside and get some exercise. Playing sport, running, cycling are all things that will get your heart rate up, keep you active and most importantly keep you fit and healthy. A good diet mixed with good exercise, equals a long and healthy life.
