Another food truck option can
be found just around the corner,
and is dishing out its own version of
“southern bar food.”
After working in the automotive
business for decades, Rick Floyd
partnered up with his brother John
and launched Floyd’s on 14th in March
2018. Rick and his son Dallas cook up
everything from burgers, chicken and
greens, to fried bologna sandwiches
and daily specials — such as the ever
popular chicken and dumplings on
Wednesdays.
“I still get to work with people,
which I’ve always loved doing, it’s just
on a different platform,” Rick said.
“Instead of people coming in mad
because their car is broke, you have
people coming here to enjoy your
food. ... It’s just been fun. I like to
cook, so I’m doing what I like to do.”
