texas fbla takes Atlanta
The FBLA-PBL National Leadership Conference was held from June 28 - July 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. From the artsy photographs to the Awards Program, Texas truly made its presence felt on the National Stage.
The home of the Braves, Hawks, and the Falcons, but most of all, the site of the FBLA National Leadership Conference: Atlanta, Georgia. Texas FBLA National Competitors stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel, walking distance to many of the city's most famous spots.
Over 12,000 students were present at the Georgia World Congress Center for the Opening and Closing Awards Ceremony. Attendees were able to learn from keynote speaker David Novak, the former CEO of Yum! Brands, setting the tone for the rest of the conference.
Students enjoyed the Coca-Cola Factory, CNN World Headquarters, the Aquarium, the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site, the Atlanta Braves game, and the High Museum of Art, making for an amazing experience with memories to be shared for a lifetime.
Texas FBLA members attended the Mountain Plains Regional Meeting, Texas State Meeting and closed off the conference with the Awards Ceremony.
Texas was heavily represented at the Awards Ceremony, placing in multiple competitive events ranging from Business Financial Plan to Web Design. Texas FBLA displayed excellent decorum and the competing teams made sure that their hard work paid off.
