State Community Service Project: Children's Miracle Network

We are pleased to announce that the State Charity for the 2016-2017 year is Children's Miracle Network! We are extremely honored and excited to partner with Children's Miracle Network to give back to the community and make a positive impact on those around us.

By background, Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is a 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues. We hope to make a positive impact on the children undergoing treatment with Texas FBLA!

The State Action Team has put together a comprehensive community service guide for all chapters to follow in order to participate in the project. Since every month is unique, each month has its own distinct service project. Clubs are encouraged to participate in each month's service project.

All the proceeds from each proejct will go to Children's Miracle Network affiliated hospitals in the Texas area!

Also, make sure to volunteer at local CMN affiliated hospitals or care centers, such as Ronald McDonald House, in your area. This way, Texas FBLA members can help their communities and be a part of a large organization that strives to improve our community for the better.

Whenever your chapter participates in a service project or volunteers at a CMN affiliated hospital, please let us know so we can feature you in our next newsletter! We hope to feature chapters that proactively work to better their community and Texas FBLA!
