last cast of the day and
it fell to a Nightmare Jig
and sand shrimp.
10 Scott Feltrinelli from
Webster, New York land-
ed this king salmon on the
Salmon River in Pulaski,
NY. He used a 9 weight
fly rod and reel and a
chartreuse Intruder fly.
11 Paul Schimchick sent
us a photo of a Kodak
slide from the summer of
1968 showing his father
with a nice summer run
steelhead he caught fish-
ing the Hoh River. Paul,
who is holding the fish,
was five-years-old at the
time. He is now 57. Paul’s
brother Mike is hamming
it up on the right. “R.I.P.
Dad,” Paul writes.
12 Sam Nicholson fooled
this beautiful chrome steel-
head with a tandem rig, a
6mm white bead up top to
a baby blue Roe bag. He
was fishing a tributary of
Lake Erie.
