Melvin Edwards, a sophomore at Moberly High School, brought some spice to his 4th hour Language Arts class by showing off his free-style rapping skills. Pumped about the upcoming football game, Melvin seamlessly strung together artful, rhyming lyrics to energize his classmates about the game. His classmates, pictured below, cheered him on every bit of the way, with a huge applause when he finished. His teacher, Mrs. Romine, being so impressed when she heard Melvin rap that she created an extra credit project for the students to do over Of Mice and Men in a few months. "It will be a rap battle competition for the ages! I can't wait to see what they can do!"
