Both the church - still consecrated and used for religious functions - and the artistic space are run by a handful of Jesuits, including Brother Werner Holter, Dr. Guido Schlimbach and Prof. Albert Gerhards, who actively participated in the event. Renowned experts in the fields of theology, philosophy, psychoanalysis, art history and artistic curation were invited to the week-long retreat, as were a group of Gregorian students, and 13 artists (from Italy, Germany, Russia and Portugal) active in different expressive areas (painting; sculpture; design; photography; video; installations; multimedia; performance art; contemporary music; and sound architecture).
