With a certain amount of effort, I put my hand on my airbrush,
an instrument that I used a lot in the past, but had lain unused
for 30 years... As trusty as an R4 is, it worked first time.
Such a profound emotion!
Three swift and precise gestures crowned the work.
Three strokes, as red as blood, had infused with life three
paintings that had been at risk of being merely “refined”. All at
once the work became flesh, and its heart began to beat, and
my tears of astonishment baptized it. Every other form of
satisfaction was no longer of any substance.
The struggle was over. It was the 21 st of July, 2017.
No other procedures were required to complete the work, apart
from applying the protective coat of varnish. These paintings
do not need frames, indeed, they demand access to the sur-
rounding environment, in order to expand their rarefied space
and suspended time beyond the canvas.
Regarding the destination and fruition of this and every other
work of art, the author can only influenced to a limited extent,
for example, as in this case, telling their story. Once finished,
they no longer belong to him. Their future depends on the
energy with which they are suffused.
