At that point I had to integrate these forms with the
backgrounds, adapting their proportion, positioning,
layout and dynamics to the configuration of the
backgrounds themselves.
In an almost spontaneous way, an ascending sequence of the
triptych emerged, the perfect representation of a catharsis.
Regarding the colours of the figures, the choice is attributable
to the “craft”, to the familiarity with evaluating tints, tones,
intensities, and contrasts in a composition. A sandy-orange
colour seemed appropriate to contrast with the predominant
green of the background and to be bright enough to stand out in
the night scene. For the second figure a neutral color (a warm
gray) would have clearly distinguished it from the first without
further weighing down the already challenging chromatics of the
painting.
