Charlene SanJenko is one of our first six reGEN filmmakers . Her first reGEN film will be Nika + The FireDancers , a comingof-age story for adults that explores the complexities of the unknown with cosmic connections , fluid timelines , and a thinning metaphysical veil between recurring lives .

Charlene recently completed her first film project , Coming Home For the Children , a 45-minute documentary profiling a seven-term former First Nations Chief , Wayne Christian , and featuring Charlene ’ s own personal story of returning to her home nation as an adult-adoptee and foster care survivor .
Charlene screened Coming Home at the Sechelt Arts Festival , the Splatsin Community Centre , and the Vernon Towne Theatre , as well as a public virtual screening .

Charlene also joined Ecko Aleck and the film team of s-yewyaw : Awaken in a full-length documentary to share the teachings of their Elders and their learnings along the way .
