2020 Dr. S. Roland Jones Student of the Year
The Dr. S. Roland Jones Student of the Year award bestows special recognition on a Mississippi State University PGA Golf Management Student who has performed outstanding servivces as an overall student during their collegiate career. As the highest honor the program can bestow, candidates must possess outstanding qualities of leadership, strong moral character, and a substantial record of service to the program and the game of golf. Individuals honored with the Roland Jones Student of the Year award will be held as a model Mississippi State University PGA Golf Management Student.
Matthew Sallade was awarded as the 2020 Dr. S. Roland Jones Student of the Year. The Knoxville, Tennessee native has been one of the most decorated and dedicated students in program history. His volunteer work, academics, and committment to the program were second to none.
Upon graduation, Matthew accepted the position of Assistant Golf Professional at the Country Club of Birmingham in Alabama.
We are proud of the professional he has become and wish him nothing but the best in his career!
