"Being selected as the first ever Roland Jones Student of the Year was incredibly humbling and a tremendous honor. This not only has meant a lot to me personally but I hope inspires other students to push themselves to accomplish all they are capable of. The culmination of internships, school work, and other extracurricular activities provide a solid base for all students to grow and develop and I can testify to the fact that it surely does. This award topped off an incredible four and a half years at Mississippi State. I developed myself personally and professionally more than I ever imagined possible and was able to find my strengths (and weaknesses) to help me find my right path in the industry. While being awarded this honor seemed like a testament to the end to my time at State, it has only been a launch board into the beginning of the rest of my career. I hope others perceive that I have represented my program well throughout school and that I can continue to do so moving forward. As did the name on the award, I hope to serve and inspire others to help grow this great game we all love!"
