“Without access to adequate, competent, well-trained legal services to help prepare agreements and resolve conflicts, the essential economic activity of our growing state will slow, and gradually grind to a halt.” The legal education provided at UND has an impact on not only the students who enroll, but also the hundreds of thousands of North Dakotans affected by the professional paths of the graduates in private practice, in government, in business – in short, in nearly every walk of life in the state. More than ever, the support of the North Dakota Legislature to approve the request for a building addition and renovation is critical to the continued growth and success of the UND School of Law and the legal environment in the State of North Dakota.

SBAND encourages support of S.B. 2003
The State Bar Association of North Dakota encourages the support of every member of North Dakota's legal community for S.B. 2003, which would appropriate funds to expand and renovate the University of North Dakota School of Law. Please contact your local legislators and encourage them to support S.B. 2003. First year students sit shoulder to shoulder in Room 211, the Molbert Room, for every one of their classes during their first year.

Room 103 serves as a small lecture room, but also needs to fill the void of a seminar room for a small group work and discussion. To serve the different functions the tables must be re-arranged.

Every bit of space is milti-purposed in the law school. Even the Courtroom becomes a less than ideal classroom when necessary.
