APPOINTED TO ABA
COMMITTEE
Bismarck lawyer Margaret A.
Baune has been appointed the
American Bar Association’s
Young Lawyer Division
Liaison to the Commission
on Lawyer Assistance
Programs. Her two-year term
commences in August. The
ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs
has the mandate to educate the legal profession
concerning alcoholism, chemical dependencies, stress,
depression and other emotional health issues, and
assist and support all bar associations and lawyer
assistance programs in developing and maintaining
methods of providing effective solutions for recovery.

Rule of Law: Why Every Vote
Matters
The Cass County Bar
Association and the Fargo
Federal Courts jointly
sponsored a program on
voting to celebrate Law
Day 2014. The facilitators
emphasized the importance
of the right to vote for every
citizen. A book on voting was
read before our teams arrived
at the third grade classrooms.
Each classroom discussed
voting and emphasized
that it is the foundation of
government by the people.
