AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT’S SAY
MMU is known to be the best Private University in the Country. In that case it attracts several
students from all around the world. Studying in a foreign country can sometimes tend to be
teasing and other times a fun-filled experience. A few International Students shared with The
Stardom their experiences at MMU and the general lifestyle in Malaysia. This is what they had
to say;
I came to Multimedia University in Malaysia about three months ago and I
have noticed quite many differences from Japan. My major reason for
coming to Malaysia was to study English and business as a transfer student from Kanagawa University in Japan.
I have received a lot of help from the local Malaysian friends of which I am
grateful. I’ve also traveled some areas in Malaysia especially areas near
Melaka and wish I could do more tours in the one year period I have.
"Time is short but I am hoping to get the best experience of Malaysia as a
transfer student."

Indonesia and Malaysia do not have many differences. Life in Malaysia is
also not much different. I might consider the People to be a little different. Some characters of Indonesian students are obviously different from
Malaysian students for example in terms of politeness, teens in Malaysia
are considered more polite than Indonesian teenagers. They are so polite
to their parents, teachers, or anyone older than them, they respect everybody. In comparison with Indonesian teenagers, especially teenagers from
the capital city that even dare insult the teachers openly without feeling
shame.
But, in terms of creativity, Indonesian teenagers are better. Easy -paced
way of life in Malaysia has indirectly reduced juvenile tendencies in Malaysia. If we look at the life of Indonesian teenagers, we see that they are
so creative. It is indirectly due to the way of life that is so difficult and
problematic in Indonesia. Indonesian teenagers are forced to do something else than others that are not excluded from the association. All in
all, am really enjoying life here in Malaysia.
