Restoration Ministries

On Sunday Mornings, you can find members of the IMVU Community attending their chosen churches. There seems to a church to fit everyone’s religion and praise style. One of those churches is Restoration Ministries, led by Spiritual Leader, DrBlessedLBF. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with DrBlessed.

I asked DrBlessed how did Restorations Ministries get started. She said it originally opened as a room called The Restoration Room. She created this room with the encouragement of a friend. The friend said that she was always helping or willing to pray for others, so why not open a room dedicated to this. DrBlessed said she thought, “How can I help others when I feel I need help myself.” One night DrBlessed said she couldn’t sleep and kept hearing this said to her, “As you help others you will help yourself. You will get the message before you give it. You are broken, but I will keep you.” DrBlessed opened her room and begin praying for others over a conference line. One evening one of her visitors asked her to open a church and proceeded to gift DrBlessed her 1st church. Restoration Ministries was created.

At Restorations Ministry, DrBlessed provided the link to Rev TD Jakes for about 7 months. One Sunday, her room was full, and the link to Rev. TD Jakes would not work. She was encouraged by some of her members to speak. She was apprehensive, but spoke to the room. This was a success and she’s been speaking live at her services ever since. A friend of hers then set her up with her on station that members could tune into to hear her voice live. DrBlessed says after the station was set up, Restoration Ministries was in full force.

Her live sermonettes are not only heard by her members, but she also has a Facebook following. She says she is planning to grow her ministry beyond IMVU and Facebook. DrBlessed says, “Many don’t go inside of a church building because of the fear of being judged. Restoration is a Ministry outside of the box. Something people are not used to.” She says she wants to have more people speaking live. She has a Bible Service on Tuesdays and Thursdays where she has started having members speak live to the room. She welcomes everyone to come and worship the ministry.
