The Supporter Spotlight highlights these companies , organizations and other Huntervationist supporters . Tell us a little about yourself and hunting . How did you get started ? What attracted you to it ?

Originally from Michigan , I started bow hunting in 1997 or 1998 when I was a teenager . My brother-in-law hunted and , not knowing my dad , I looked up to him . There was probably a bit of a cool factor mixed in , too . We didn ’ t hunt much together but he ignited the spark that has become my way of life .
Do you have a favorite type of hunting or species to hunt ?
Since I was fortunate to move to Oregon in 2006 , I ’ ve slowly learned or have hunted pretty much everything the West has to offer : mule deer , blacktail deer , elk , bear , turkey , waterfowl , coyotes , hound hunting , etc . They all have

their attraction , but if I had to pick two for the rest of my life , they would be mule deer and waterfowl . I love the challenge of hiking and glassing bucks in big country and calling in ducks .
You and your wife are both diehard hunters and have shared many adventures together , and you ’ re both pretty active and outspoken about the sportsman ’ s lifestyle . Tell us about your dynamic adventures together .
I ’ m lucky my wife , Asha , is willing and enjoys sharing the adventures ! She grew up in a hunter and angler dream location , in rural southern Oregon less than a mile from the Rogue River , but she never hunted or fished until we
