hunting , fishing and trapping for future generations . Nothing more , nothing less . We don ’ t engage in conservation work ; there are plenty of organizations that do that . In simple terms , we protect the people , not the places . Without the people , there ’ s no conservation to begin with .
To this end , we recently created an Office of Litigation Counsel and hired two litigators to begin engaging in lawsuits and other legal activities to take back lost ground . Again , we see this as mission-central work to protect our cherished outdoor traditions from total destruction by the numerous groups and governments arrayed against the American sportsman . In simple terms , if you mess with hunters , anglers or trappers , we are going to sue you , and then sue you some more . We might even sue you once more on the way out the door .
But we must go beyond even this major initiative . As the beginning of this article attests , there is a ton of work to be done during election season , and this election is critical to our very survival . We can no longer watch our community be cratered as our collective conservation work continues . We can , and must , protect the people who hunt , fish and trap .
To this end , we are forging a new pathway to hold public officials accountable for their actions . It all comes down to
