Radical animal activists push an extreme doctrine , which many of them wholeheartedly believe , that borders on religion — a faith that nature , and wild and domestic animals alike , think and behave as they imagine . Of course , it ’ s nonsensical , as the natural world isn ’ t the fairy tale they so desperately wish . However , that doesn ’ t stop them from forcing their twisted logic and views on the rest of society , the ultimate end being equating animals with humans at all levels . As the Sportsmen ’ s Alliance fights daily against this deviant animal-rights juggernaut , bearing witness to thousands of bills across the state legislatures , poring over lawsuits and petitions for minute details that unwind scientific wildlife management , a Cassandra complex can set in . In Greek mythology , the god Apollo , struck by the beauty of Cassandra , gave her the gift of prophecy . However , when Cassandra rejected his advances , Apollo

cursed the mortal , ensuring that nobody would believe her prophecies .
When the Sportsmen ’ s Alliance alerts our followers to dangerous legislation or complex legal language , we ’ re sometimes met with disbelief . Claims of playing politics , overreaction or extremism will flood our inbox and fill our voicemail . Like Cassandra , some just don ’ t want to believe us when we say that animal fanatics want to destroy not just hunting , but civilization as we know it .
And then , Connecticut and Illinois come along and perfectly reveal the perverted worldview of animal-rights extremism .
In 2016 , Connecticut was the first state in the nation to pass a law allowing a judge to appoint a volunteer lawyer or a supervised law student to represent a cat or dog in an animal abuse case . Sticking with the known game plan of incremental destruction of animal ownership , radical animal-rights activists introduced Senate Bill 1060 , a bill that goes a step further and allows animals , not just cats and dogs ,
|
to receive representation in court . The term “ animal ” in the state of Connecticut means any species , including , but not limited to , dogs , cats , monkeys , guinea pigs , hamsters , rabbits , birds and reptiles ( Sections 22-327 and 22-329b ).
Passing this bill would be straight-up animal-rights extremism enshrined into law . The idea is not that animals will have a lawyer . It is that animal owners will play second fiddle in the new bizarro world the extremists want to create .
Apparently , Illinois ’ animal-rights advocates want to follow in the steps of Connecticut . House Bill 1169 allows the court to appoint an attorney or a supervised law student to represent the health or safety of a cat or dog .
The incremental slide from dog and cat to all animals creates legal precedent and standing to argue in a court of law that the right to a stress-free and happy life for deer , elk , upland birds , waterfowl and other wildlife is unduly compromised by hunters . Don ’ t believe us ?
