NAOMI FARMER
Naomi joined the Sportsmen ’ s Alliance government affairs team recently as associate director of legislative affairs . She brings a wealth of experience fighting politically for sportsmen , having previously served in a number of capacities for the National Rifle Association ’ s Institute for Legislative Action .
Farmer grew up at shooting ranges where her father taught marksmanship to Marines while serving in the Marine Corps . She developed an affinity for firearms and shooting early on , later to blossom into a deep passion for hunting and all the shooting sports . She has won several high-power and smallbore rifle competitions and once held the title of Virginia State Women ’ s Smallbore Champion . After meeting her husband at a shotgun facility , she has become an accomplished skeet and sporting clays shooter .
When not working , you can find Farmer checking over her 50- head Charolais cow / calf operation , and in the fall and winter , she is in the woods hunting . She says her favorite seasons are “ calving ” and “ deer ,” but in no particular order .
