you find out?
What is the most rewarding thing
about being the mother of a special
needs child?

Honestly, I don’t see anything more rewarding
was
diagnosed
with
SPD/SID
(Sensory
Processing or Sensory Integration Disorder) after
years (he was 9 years old) of seeking the answers.
I started to think I was a bad mom, so I went to see
a therapist. SHE, not all the doctors we’d been
to, recognized what was going on and referred
from my middle daughter.
They each have amazing talents and skills and
an ability to see beyond the everyday. I think
just being a mother to some cool kids is pretty
awesome.
me onto an OT. It was a wonderful moment...
finally having a name or validation of what we
were dealing with. Proof that he wasn’t a bad
kid and I wasn’t a bad mom. I suspect he has
Aspergers too, but another title isn’t needed and
