ST. AIDAN’S ‘FIT FOR PURPOSE’ FUNDRAISING As you know, we need to raise money to be able to get the St. Aidan’s site back to being ‘Fit for Purpose’. This will involve several dimensions to enable the funding to go smoothly. • The thing everyone can do to help is to pray! Please make sure that you pray for this project - that we will be a resource for the community around us and have an excellent space for people to be able to engage with God. • We have already made a good start through the sale of scarves, calendars and having the penny boxes and coffee mornings etc. Thank you to all who have contributed! If you have a similar idea for fundraising please chat to Revd. Jo Northey, Dorothy Baines or the Churchwardens. • We want to maximize the fundraising opportunities that we have already e.g. coffee mornings/summer fair, so they can involve as many people from the surrounding community. This will not just be good for fundraising but also help us to foster good relationships within the wider community. • We will need to raise a good amount of money through grants. We need to find people who are willing to receive training to be able to help us in this way. Is this something you could do? The Diocese is providing us with information about the best grant awarding bodies to help for our project. It sometimes does seem a daunting task but together, we can make this site an amazing resource for our community, so thank you for your support!
