One day, he bumps into Hae-mi (Jeon Jong-seo), a delightfully vague young woman who claims to have known him when they were kids. A romantic encounter ensues. Before he quite knows what’s happening, he agrees to look after her cat while she takes a trip to Africa. But when she returns she has a new boyfriend, Ben, in tow. Rich and confident, the enigmatic Ben quickly gets under Jong Su’s skin, setting up an explosive conflict between the trio. ‘A mesmerising thriller of murky motives’ – The Guardian dir. l. chanG-dOnG, SOuTh kOrEa, 2018, 148 Min TiME: 8 pM pricE: €9/5 FilM Land Without God Wednesday 29 January See article on pages 8 and 9. dirS.
