Wapello County Government Structure

Wapello County has 14 Townships : Adams , Agency , Cass , Center , Columbia , Competine , Dahlonega , Green , Highland , Keokuk , Pleasant , Polk , Richland , Washington . Each are governed by a board of trustees .

Wapello County ’ s incorporated towns are : Agency , Blakesburg , Chillicothe , Eddyville , Eldon , Kirkville and Ottumwa , the county seat , each governed by a mayor and city council .

Wapello County ’ s unincorporated towns are : Ashland , Bladensburg , Dahlonega , Dudley , Farson , Munterville , Phillips , Pickwick , Ottumwa Junction and Rutledge .

Wapello County Board of Supervisors consists of three supervisors elected to four-year terms . The current supervisors are Brian Morgan , Jerry Parker and Wayne Huit .
