Mother Abbess and the sisters muse “ How do You Solve a Problem Like Maria ” in the 1977 production .
Damon Cole brought the show to life on the pre-flood TCR stage with gorgeous designs by Priscilla Steel and Craig Campbell . Amy Hanisch played Maria alongside her husband Steve as the Captain .
Amy shares a funny memory about the production : “ One of the von Trapp kids wasn ' t there at curtain and we were frantically going through the script reducing the number of children from seven to six . We started the show without him and I received my orders to go to the Captain ' s house ‘ with his six children ’ and a few minutes after the show had started , a frantic mom and her son showed up at the theater and he got into costume and in the next kid scene .... voila .... a new von Trapp child existed !” Amy also remembers hearing her husband sing Edelweiss every night as a highlight . “ The Sound of Music is a wonderful memory for both of us ,” she says .
Jump to 2008 , the year of the flood , and TCR relocates to a temporary new home at TCR Lindale , where it
