HURRICANE MICHAEL RECOVERY THE END OF A CHAPTER
2020 saw the end of The Sonder Project ’ s efforts to support housing
recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael , which struck the
Florida Panhandle in October of 2018 . The Sonder Project was never a hurricane recovery agency when we got involved , but we saw there was a clear need and we knew our local network would enable us to have a significant impact . Two years later , we are proud of the role we played and our contributions . We are also thankful for the incredibly resilient people in the Panama City area who supported us along the way and welcomed us into their homes . May they continue to recover and thrive .
