Let’s carry on growing!
So, here comes September and our Society’s second meeting. After a shaky start at that lazy time of the year that is August, we are back full of ideas and enthusiasm. The group carries on growing on line and there are interesting new comers expected this Friday... I had a fantastic time during our first meeting, when I met the wonderful Angela and all her projects as a self-published author and manager of the franchise “Parsley Pie: Kids art & craft club” in Stockport. She’s bringing some of her books to our next meeting and will be able to tell us a bit more about her experience in this field. Keeping this in mind, and the fact that some of you are working on your own stories, I have included here a very useful & practical article on how to make a dummy for a picture book and how to present it to an agent/publisher. I hope it helps! I also hope that you find our two authors/illustrators of the month as interesting as I do and that it inspires you to research further into their work. Please, do get in touch if you want to include any other treasures you may have discovered on your travels reading or exploring the net. And that’s everything! For now… Happy reading and keep spreading the word!
