mproving public speaking skills can benefit students greatly according to Arina Nikitina, author of “Successful Public Speaking”, “Improving your ability to speak in front of others and learning to talk about who you are and what you do with natural grace and authenticity can go a long way in expanding your social circle, building strong relationships with successful, like-minded people and making new friends.” This means that whether public speaking classes are a pain or a breeze, businesses will give more attention and pay to those who have acquired those skills. Public speaking is the act of communicating or presenting information to others in an extemporaneous manor. A presenter stands at a podium and can explain, inform, persuade or host a variety of topics using visual aids, statistics, or it could be as simple as introducing yourself in a classroom setting. Although public speaking is crucial to most majors, glossophobia, a fear of public speaking, prevents many students from improving.

Public speaking is a challenge everyone must face at some point. Whether one may find it embarrassing, uncomfortable, or difficult, public speaking is inescapable.
