“Ever since I was a kid, I've liked to be organized. My grandma remembers rearranging the items on her mantle, only for me, at the age of four, to put them back in order. As I've gotten older, I haven't lost that love of organization, but I have gained a love for chaos as well. I like to let things get messy when I'm working and being creative, and clean up to relax afterward. It's as true of my life as it is of my room.

When I was creating this magazine, I had a lot of materials and experiences to pull from. This year has been full of creative opportunities and collaborations. Notably, I had a chance to participate alongside my friends and peers in both the high school's poetry slam and the District poetry slam. However, I've also been exploring new forms of storytelling.
One of my new favourite podcasts, Welcome to Night Vale, has brought radio drama to youth audiences. Another, What Are You Doing Movie? and other podcasts in the Friends in Your Head network, critically examines story construction in film.
These inspirations and others lead me to find new ways to tell my own stories. The open-source program Twine is a tool for creating interactive fiction, from non-linear narrtives to choose-your-own-adventure tales.
My work here is not bound by a single genre. It is inspired by my friends, family, teachers, and collaborators. It is influenced by my interests in social justice, theatre, poetry, and by my current position in life - balanced on shifting, separating tectonic plates. It is varied, and occasional disoganized.
My work here...is done.
