Pulley System
The pulley system is the mechanism by which Elsa will release the shirt from the claws.
Elsa will pull down on a string (after she’s put her arms and head through the shirt) which
will lift the back claw, making the shirt fall over Elsa’s body.
In addition to information on the the completed and constructed Shirt Horn, a proposed design
for an undressing device (Figure 5) was also discussed but never constructed and implemented.
The proposed undressing device consists of a mounted pulley system with clips attached to the
user’s shirt; the pulleys redirected a downward force from pulling a string to pull the shirt up
over the user’s head, allowing her to take her shirt off (see Appendix G: Dimensioned Sketches
for a more detailed sketch of the proposed design).
