folds at its refurbished restaurant. Its namesake Thioni is
the name that Semeli adopted after she became resurrect-
ed from Hades by her son Dionysos, and in effect became
herself a goddess. Equally divine, sophisticated and chic,
Thioni serves nouvelle Mediterranean and Greek dishes,
signed by acclaimed chef Nikos Palantzas. His is a cui-
sine that’s inspired, yet unpretentious; prepared with the
freshest locally sourced ingredients, respectful of tradition
and with an eye to the future. Palantza’s signature cre-
ations and the restaurant’s delightful settings, act in effect
as a magnet to the island’s gourmands. Thioni is actually
considered as one of the finest, fine dining restaurants in
Mykonos – not an inconsiderable feat!

Equally renowned is the lounge lobby bar, which, with
its inspirational cocktails and happy vibes has become a
preferred stamping ground of Mykonos’ beau monde, for a
pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.
Semeli and its enticing offerings are nowadays applaud-
ed by discerning Mykonos patrons. Yet none of this would
