Needle felting class will make holiday ornament
A Needle Felting class will be held on Thursday , December 1st from 9am until Noon . The project is needle felting a bird on a Christmas ornament . A second class will be held that same evening from 6-9PM . Classes will be held at the Blackford County Arts Center . Visit the Blackford County Art Center to see two examples of these beautiful ornaments !
Carol Tropf will be teaching the class . This class is open to the public and limited to six people . Cost is $ 25 per person and $ 4 for material cost .
To register call the Blackford County Arts Center at 765-348-4154 . Hours of operation are Monday 10- 2 , Tuesday 10-2 and 3-7 , Wednesday 3-7 , and Thursday 10-2 . Contact Amy Day if you have any questions . The address of the Art Center is 107 West Washington .

Matthews VFD to serve breakfast
Matthews Volunteer Fire Department would like to announce that the Fire Department will be serving breakfast on Saturday December 10 , 2016 from 7 a . m . till 11 a . m . at our Fire Department building , 731 Massachusetts Ave , Matthews . We are raising money in order to purchase Fireman gear and equipment . This fundraiser helps provide a high level of service to our community . Matthews Fire Department would like to thank you in advance for your support .
Program for those grieving at holidays
“ Surviving the Holidays ,” a special program designed for adults who are grieving the loss of someone close , will be presented on Friday , November 18 , 1-3 pm , at Grace United Methodist Church , Hartford City . Light refreshments , a DVD presentation , and time for discussion and sharing will be provided . Each person will receive a booklet , “ Surviving the Holidays ,” which will help participants navigate their way through Thanksgiving and Christmas . Tri Kappa from Hartford City will be hosting the 26th Annual Santa ’ s Depot Craft Show on Saturday ,
November 19 from 9am- 3pm . Location is Blackford High School . Admission is $ 1 . Over 50 vendors will be participating in this craft show . Breakfast and lunch will be available . Carry-out is also available . Don ’ t miss out on homemade soups , desserts , and more !
