The Barton Rees Pogue Memorial Library ( Upland Public Library ) has a book signing coming up on Saturday , November 5th from 10 am until 1 pm . There will be five local authors participating in this : Rachael Phillips , Secrets of the Amish Diary ; Donna Cronk , That Sweet Place & At Home in the Heartland ; Joyce Helyer , Scattering Ashes : A sister ' s journey with her gay brother ; Larry Helyer , Mountaintop Theology : Panoramic perspectives of redemptive history ; Marcia Woodard , The Faintest Whisper & Cocoa Hates Kisses . These authors will have copies of their books for sale , give short talks about their books , and of course , sign copies for those who wish . The library will have light refreshments for those who are in attendance . Please join us in supporting our local authors .

America ’ s story . Our production considers what this story means for us today : How do we address issues of ownership , gender , and family in America ? Do we share the same dreams ? By looking at our past , we might find common ground .”
Taylor Theatre provides an immersive experience for audiences and participants by pursuing excellence on and off the stage , embracing difficulty and asking questions in pursuit of truth .
Matthews Marketplace Accepting Vendors for Fall Bazaar
Matthews Area Chamber will be sponsoring the annual Matthews Marketplace on Saturday , November 12 , from 9 am-2 pm A chili lunch will be served for $ 5 in the Matthews Community Center ' s Banquet Room from 11:30-1:30 pm . During that time , Victoria Marcum will be singing for those who are enjoying lunch in the banquet room .
Vendors will display their wares in the gym area of the Matthews Community Center for $ 10 . Please call 765-998-7747 to secure the space . Set up will be 8-9 am and tear down will be 2-3 pm .
