Upland’s sesquicentennial celebration plans progressing
Plans are being finalized
for Upland’s 150th celebra-
tion, “ALL ABOARD UP-
LAND”, beginning Friday,
August 25 and continuing
through Labor Day weekend.
It’s not too late to get
onboard for this historical
event. Space is still avail-
able in Depot Park Saturday,
August 26 for craft vendors,
entrepreneurs, Upland area
churches, civic organiza-
tions, businesses or schools
to be represented on Heritage
Day. Cost is $10 to help with
event expenses, and you may
sell products, fundraise, ad-
vertise, or simply “meet and
greet.”
Coming soon will be a
full schedule of events for
Heritage Day, as well as the
entire two-weekend celebra-
tion.
All vendors are also in-
vited to set up in Depot Park
on Friday afternoon, August
25, along with the Farmer’s
Market, which kicks off the
entire two-weekend celebra-
tion. Participants may also
stay until Sunday, August
27, for Upland Homecoming
Day, ending at 5 p.m. Cost is
also $10 per day, or $30 for
the three day weekend.
The celebration commit-
tee is also looking for a few
antique or classic car owners
to display their special ve-
hicle on Heritage Day. We
also would like a few antique
tractors or farm equipment
to display to represent our
farming heritage.
