Food for Fines at Barton Rees Pogue

The library is having a food for fines drive during the month of December . If you have an outstanding library fine , you may donate one canned good or other nonperishable item for each dollar of your fine . Everything that is collected will go to help local families in need . If you have any questions , please contact Barbara Dixon , the Head Librarian at Barton Rees Pogue Memorial Library at ( 765 ) 998-2971 .

Humphrey and Mary Muchini book signing

For those who missed the book signing at Taylor University for Humphrey and Mary Muchiri , there will be one at the Barton Rees Pogue
Library in Upland this Saturday , December 10th , from 10 a . m . until 1 p . m . Please come and show your support to our local authors .

Jamming at the Barn

This Saturday December 10th at 6 p . m . Carol Moses and the Psalm 100 Quartet will be at the Lightrider ’ s Gray Barn , 168 S Second Street , Upland Indiana . Snacks and Drinks will be provided . Come and enjoy the evening . On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month which will be December 27 , at 6p . m . we have Jamming at the Barn . Everyone is welcome to bring your instrument and sing or just come and sing or listen to the music . Bring a snack for all to share .

Arts Place in Portland to hold auditions

Auditions will be held at Arts Place in Portland , Indiana , December 12 at 7:00 pm . Requirements for the audition include : prepared 16 measures of music , headshot and resume , calendar of all conflicts , and comfortable clothing . Girls under the age of 18 are encouraged to audition for the role of Dinah Lord , Tracy ’ s little sister , 13 years old . The director will be Cain M . Bilbrey . The music director
