Board were recently awarded
a $20,000 grant by an anonymous foundation to install
new playground equipment
in the Upland Park. Work
began this week to build the
new equipment which was
provided by playgroundequipment.com, and delivered
Wednesday to an eager group
of committee members, incuding Warren Ross, Board
member, and Drew Moser,
President of the Board. Dr
Moser had also recruited a
number of Taylor University
students to help with the construction.
Parks Board member Warren Ross said, “This grant
has enabled us to complete
Phase 1 of our Park upgrade
plans. We are working on the
closing phases of a matching grant of $6,000 from the
Community Foundation, to
complete phase 2 which will
cover more new playground
equipment, additional soft
paving material to renew the
playground surface, and the
installation of new information signs at the entrance and

the first phase of a much improved playground complex.
