The SEED: May/June 2021 presents: The Seed Magazine Vol 2 No 1 | Page 14

Greetings to All, As the threat from the COVID-19 virus is amplified, so too are our efforts here at Synagogue Beth Israel to help ensure that safety is first. Here are just a few of the steps we are taking to assure sharing uninterupted Shabbat Service: 1) The synagogue will be closed to the general public until further notice 2) We will be offering Shabbat services via our "Free Conference Call" line (888)602-1405 beginning at 10am with The Traditional Liturgy, followed by The Sefardic Torah Service & The Teaching on the Weekly Torah Portion. All this will be done live from Synagogue Beth Israel by Rabbi Jacob & myself. We suggest that you & your family take the steps similar to those taken when around those with influenza, restricted visitation to limit exposure & washing ones hands, etc. This is commonplace procedure during any flu season. In the face of a threat, we don't panic, we prepare. May The Eternal God of Israel protect & keep you safe, Thank you & Shalom. Rabbi Fernandez
