Alumni Round Table
The alumni round table took place, once again, at the UIC College of Pharmacy. This consisted of four PDC alum, including Scott Wirth and recent grads, Nick Liu and Siba Delisi. The event was catered by Portillo’s, so everyone was happy and well fed. The event started off by
having the alumni tell the students a little bit about themselves and their line of work. This was
followed up by some questions that were prepared by the committee. Once we got through those questions, they opened the floor up to any questions from the audience. This took up the majority of the time as the audience came well prepared with plenty of questions.
This was a very helpful event as many important topics were discussed such as loan repayment, residency applications, and work-life balance. Speaking with many of the brothers after the event, the general feeling was that this event was very beneficial. Many questions were answered from the perspective of four different alumni, which helps you see that everyone’s path is going to be different and you just need to find yours. This was another great event put together by our Worthy Alumni Liaison.

Alumni Social
At the Alumni event, this is were old and new brothers and pledges congregated in one room and shared their experiences. From speaking about brotherhood, to their profession in the pharmacy field, there was a sense of community and involvement in the same organization. The brothers learned the importance of continuing to be professional at all events and an emphasis was put on networking. The feelings during this event were of excitement and fearfulness, that one day we would be an alumni. At the conclusion of the event, I left feeling that I could make an impact in the pharmacy profession through the help of my brothers and extensive knowledge.
