Sound : The one word which describes Music in one word . Apart from the vocal learning , music instruments carry equal importance to add on to the overall aspect of any music form . We have various forms of musical instruments depending on the way they are made . Broadly speaking , the instruments are classified into :

Percussion instruments
At the same time the instruments are also based on the way they are made , the material that is used and the way they are played . For example , mridangam is made from dried jackfruit and flute is made of bamboo wood or various intensities , to show the various pitches based the material used . There are various kinds of such instruments which are also classified based on the way they are played . Namely :
1 . Wind instruments such as flute , clarinet , saxphone 2 . String instruments such as veena , guitar , santoor 3 . Wired instruments such as morsing 4 . Percussion instruments such as table , mridangam , live drums , Kanjira
5 . Key based instruments such harmonium , piano and keyboard
6 . Treble based instruments such as ghungru ( mainly used for dance instruments )
7 . Bells- which are made with various metals and materials .
It is interesting to know that each of the these instruments are made with organic material such as animal skin , dried fruits , trees , and metallic strings with various thicknesses . These metallic strings are designed in a peculiar pattern which brings new pitches . Based on the design , the various pitches and sounding can be made .
While thinner strings are of high pitch , the thicker strings come under lower pitch category . There are ample categories of these violin , veena and guitar which produce unique sound based on the material .
Globally speaking , every musical instruments bring in different sound level based on its design and tweaking of the material leading to the sapta swaras ( do re me fa so la ti ).
These instruments are designed in such a way that different pitches can be played . For example , when it comes to mridangam , tying the rope around the mridangam shape will bring in new pitches and will be helpful to the artist to carry just one instrument .
Carnatic music has 12 different pitches and the same applies for Western Classical Music . When it comes to Carnatic music the harmonium is made of pure teak wood and with the mechanism by playing each key , the particular pitch is played . The same technique is applied to electronic instruments based on the analog principles .
Music is incomplete without musical instruments and it is indeed commendable for all the music manufacturers and workers who take their time and efficient techniques that complete a musical performance .
