ANIMALS YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT SING

Since an early age , we have seen people gushing about the soulful melodies of nightingales and other exotic birds . But there are numerous other animals who sing their own sweet songs and radiate their brilliance in the animal kingdom . Here are some animals that stand out for their vocalisations which can be to attract mates , communication , and to even mark their territories

1Humpback Whales

Whales are very smart creatures who sing to communicate with each other and even to attract a mate . Since the power of sight and smell are very limited in water , humpback whales use this vocalisation in order to navigate their way across the dense ocean . They are also known as ‘ inveterate composers ’ since the sounds they produce mimic those of human compositions . These whale songs are well-documented and researched , and you can listen to them on your phone .

Antelope Squirrels
These fascinating creatures , which are found in North America , are known to ward away predators . They use the song produced by their feet and trilling sounds by mouth in order to create a stern warning . It is also interesting that antelope squirrels practice perfecting their vocals for better performance or warning next time . These squirrels literally sing to save their lives !

3Pacific Chorus Frogs

Found primarily in the area of Western Americas , the Pacific Chorus Frogs have a fascinating and distinct vocal range . They use the sounds to mark their territories , attract females and also about the weather blues . Besides this , a dominant male frog whose singing abilities are the best becomes the alpha of the pack where the others follow . Interestingly , these unique frogs even have a singing competition where they outsing each other at night to collectively create a loud noise .
