I was in school when 18 Till I Die released. This album was so epic for us. It was edgy and cool and also soft and romantic.. perfect for all the teenage angst and the misdirected rebellion, and of course the epic feeling of falling in love! The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me.. so sexy! I Wanna Be Your Underwear... dangerous! Have You Ever Loved A Woman.. images of Johnny Depp and fairytale romances.. and‘ close dancing’ with your crush. I haven’ t really listened to Bryan Adams in a long time but if you play this album I think I will be able to sing along to every song.

A huge fan of his voice and music. As a kid, during my road trips with my family, songs such as ' Everything I do ', ' Please forgive me ' and obviously ' Summer of 69 ' would always play on my dad ' s stereo, from singing along to his entire album with my family and to eventually picking up the guitar and learning his songs, he ' s been a huge inspiration musically. I still think ' Summer of 69 ' was one of the first few riffs I learnt on the guitar. Yes, I still do listen to him cause his songs are timeless and Golden, they connect to me on a personal level and reminds me of all the great memories I made while listening to his music!

A few months ago, when I was at sound check for Anirudh Ravichander’ s show at the Wembley Arena in London, I noticed a dusty little piece of paper taped to the stage floor. When I looked closer I realised it was a set list from Bryan Adams’ show at the very same venue two weeks earlier. So as an ardent fan, I quietly ripped the piece of paper off and put it in my bag.

Who doesn ' t love us Canadians?!! Hehe. And then hes Bryan Adams! But I wasnt exposed to his music growing up. I suppose i heard him for the very first time in as late as 2007! And in my mind, the raspyness and soul in his voice would perhaps be voice dreams for thousands of singers. Its then that i perhaps went through his entire discography and on loop for some 3 months. My favorite would have to be Lonely Nights.

If you’ re born in the 80s, there’ s no way that you wouldn’ t know about the pop-rock sensation Bryan Adams. I’ m Ready, Heaven, are some of his works which I dig. I, in fact had the great fortune of meeting him when I was performing with“ Aasma“ and we were asked to open for his shows in Delhi and Bengaluru. Was so chilled out and funny! He just knew the pulse of his audience which reflected in his music and that for me is a gift for any artist.

If you’ re like me from the MTV generation, you’ ve definitely listened to & loved Bryan Adams music! I’ ve been fortunate to have met him on one of his trips to India and have a great conversation about music. Remember him talking about how the Blues influenced him in his guitar playing and songs. Favourite songs- Cant stop this thing we started, All for love, Run To You. And My most favourite being- Back To You( Unplugged Version)
