EverTune Modes
The bridge operates in three modes , let ’ s look at each of them in detail .
Back Stop , or rear position Make a few turns to the right to loosen the string tension and you will switch to Back Stop mode . When set up like this , the EverTune bridge works like any other electric guitar bridge , and you ’ ll be able to quickly change the guitar ’ s tuning .
Sweet Spot , or “ golden mean ”
Make a few turns of the peg to the left to tighten the strings . This will disable Back Stop mode . Next , the saddle will move closer to the neck of the guitar .
The “ Sweet Spot ” mode is activated when a distance of 2 mm is reached between the back of the saddle and the bridge .
With the “ golden mean ”, the bridge works as the developers intended , that is , any tightening of the strings will be compensated . Even from temperature changes and the most brutal bends on your bluesiest solo . The note will sound exactly as it would without the bend .
In the “ golden mean ” position , it is possible to adjust the bridge using socket wrenches .
Bend Stop , or extreme position
Make another turn of the tuning pegs to the left ( tension the strings ) and the tailpiece saddle will begin to move to the extreme position . The latter mode makes tuning the guitar more flexible , that is , you can tune the instrument to your preferences and based on the strength of attack . The further you move the saddle , the more pliable the strings will be when bending , but minor changes in string tension will still be compensated for ( from temperature changes , for example ).
EverTune Technology : Correct Bridge Tuning
Fine tuning of the string occurs in the “ Sweep Spot ” mode . This is done by rotating the bridge saddle screw using a socket wrench . When you turn the key to the right , the sound becomes higher , when you turn to the left , it becomes lower .
If you put new strings of the same gauge on the instrument , then re-tuning the instrument is not required . This is because the spring tension is already adjusted to the appropriate diameter and tension of the strings . But even the slightest change in string diameter may require the bridge to be readjusted .
String height
Sweet Spot mode allows you to adjust the distance between the neck and strings . Turn the screw to the right using a socket wrench , and the bridge saddle will begin to release towards the body of the guitar - the distance between the strings and the neck will be less . Therefore , turning the screw to the right will increase the distance .
Setting the scale
Since the tuning of a guitar or the gauge of strings can often change , it is necessary to periodically rebuild the scale of the guitar . The adjustment is made by turning the tailpiece saddle screw . Turning the screw to the right will increase the scale length , and turning the screw to the left will decrease it .
According to the manufacturer EverTune , the bridge can be installed on any guitar . However , it is worth remembering that for some guitars you will have to cut a hole in the soundboard for the bridge to “ fit ” into it correctly .
