of musicians make money through touring, and live, that’s where you can make some money but it is difficult with album sales and streaming. It is very rare that it happens to someone that a song takes off to that extent. But, there is a lot of good music that is being made, but unfortunately, the way that it is being exploited, monetized, marketed, it has still not reached that level where somebody who grows up can say that’s really what I want to do for a living and make a career out of. So, hopefully that changes. In this country, Film and Devotional music has captured the space that it’s difficult for artists outside that. Hopefully, labels will have belief in trying to get the independent music scene back on track. Your message to upcoming artists Most importantly, have something to say! I think success is such an elusive thing. Everyone wants to succeed, if you want to be an artist, you have to think deep and say something to the world through music.
