Five Ways To Sound Better On Stage

Learn songs completely
It makes no sense to learn one riff or passage from a song since such actions do not lead to development .
Only if you learn the songs in their entirety will you develop muscle memory and endurance . After a while , you will need much less effort to learn a new song .
Play regularly
If you take a long break from practicing music , your basic skills will suffer . Try to give music at least 30 minutes a day to keep yourself in shape . For intensive development , 30 minutes will , of course , not be enough .
You can purchase special finger trainers that will allow you to keep your fingers in good shape even if you can ’ t play the guitar every day .
Have solid fundamentals
We will not talk extensively about the importance of knowing music theory . At a minimum , this knowledge will allow you to keep your hands in good shape , know the keys , features of harmony , and so on . As a maximum , knowledge of the simplest pentatonic scale will allow you to improvise in a force majeure situation .
For example , a string broke right at your concert , but you need to play a solo on the broken string . There is a way out - use the same scale / pentatonic scale , but play in a different box ( position ).
It ’ s also good to be familiar with basic tricks such as legato , hammer-on , pull-off , tapping , downstroke , upstroke , variable stroke , funky scratch , swing basics , blues chord progression , basic jazz chords , and … much more .
It is not necessary to memorize and hone everything to perfection ( but it would not hurt ). The ability to perform music in other styles , various tricks , and tricks will be able to enhance any performance .
Calm your nerves
Our best advice for overcoming nervousness at a concert is to take control of every possible element of your performance . In our experience , the use of proven and reliable equipment and the performance of wellrehearsed songs guarantee a great performance .
Ask yourself : what are you nervous about ? If you know the problem , and you can solve it , then why be nervous ? If you can ’ t decide , why bother with it ?
However , there is a simple set of rules that will allow you to protect yourself during a live performance .
Know how your equipment works . You need to know exactly what each switch on a combo
